Filtration with Pressure Control

The backpressure in a filtration application depends among other influences on the volume flow rate of the medium to be filtered. The pressure can thus be controlled indirectly by changing the pump speed through the FCS (Flow Controller System) using PID control and a 4-20mA signal. To implement pressure-controlled filtration, a Sonotec sensor with RS485/Modbus analog output is wired to the FCS pump.
